OUR MISSION

Empowering girls to feel confident and strong in math.

GLAM is for Middle School girls who are interested in math. GLAM is designed to teach young girls exciting, challenging (age appropriate) math that goes beyond their core curriculums. It is an all female program with the goal of empowering young girls to feel confident and strong about their math abilities. Education is the great equalizer and GLAM aims to increase gender fairness.

OUR STORY

Research shows that girls start to lose interest and confidence in their math skills in middle school.

GLAM GROUPs

We started at various middle schools in New York and are now in Boston, New Haven, and the Bay Area.

Our daughter loves it! She's been yearning to learn new math and to challenge herself as the teacher at her school in math does not go much beyond core curriculum, and so she hasn't had the opportunity to improve at a speed and level she's capable of, that is until now!

“I want to thank you again so much for the fun you've been bringing to [our daughter's] weekly routine ever since you started. She's always excited to meet with you and I know how highly she thinks of you for being the cool girl who loves math. My husband and I are very thankful for your time and energy.”

Our daughter absolutely loves GLAM. Thanks so much for coming up with such an inspiring idea, and then taking the time to implement it.”

“It's a great gift you're giving them, and they love being taught by you, an older peer, as opposed to another adult. We greatly appreciate it as parents.”

“It definitely made me smile when [my daughter] came home and excitedly told me about solving for multiple variables. This sort of exercise to normalize math as something girls and women do is really important. Thank you for setting such a good example.”

- GLAM Parent

“So let me thank you so much on [my daughter's] behalf. She already loved math before starting GLAM but you've pushed her to want to achieve even more next year.”
